Business Development

MediGene's business operations concentrate on clinical research and development of cancer drugs with emphasis on liposome technology. For the time being, the focus is on the cancer drug EndoTAG™-1. To continue the development of this drug candidate, MediGene aims to enter into a development and marketing partnership. MediGene already has two drugs on the market: Eligard® for the treatment of prostate cancer, and Veregen® for the treatment of genital warts. Both drugs are successfully marketed by partners. MediGene is preparing to out-licence the drug candidate RhuDex® for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

With the help of our business development team we have found strong partners to further push on our research and development projects, and to expand the distribution of our marketed drugs.

Drug Candidates

Partnerships for our technologies and drug candidates
EndoTAG™-1
On the basis of its technology, MediGene is developing the drug candidate EndoTAG™-1. This product achieved excellent results in two phase II clinical trials in pancreatic cancer and triple negative breast cancer indications. MediGene is currently searching for partners in order to conduct the phase III clinical trial in pancreatic cancer of this promising candidate. It is an element of our corporate strategy to advance our projects in an ideal way, by means of partnerships for development and commercialization.
RhuDex®
A successful phase Ila pilot trial of our drug candidate RhuDex® for the treatment of rheumatiod arthritis was already conducted.

Cooperation with scientific institutions
In order to support the development of our research projects, we built up an international scientific network through partnerships.
